The car is very clean body wise when bought. It but it had a lot of missing parts and showed its age. The goal was to make it an accurate representation of the car when new and a daily driver.

There is no rust and any exposed metal has been treated with rust inhibitor. The floor pans in the Spitfires are notorious for rusting out. This car had only minor pin holes and a small crack when bought. Floor pans were welded and then sealed with fiber glass/resin. Only repaired one spot on the body that was the size of a dime where the rubber had worn off the hood support and vibration rubbed a hole in the hood.

The engine was replaced and has less than 10,000 miles. The odometer reads ~53K.
